Where can I park?
* Memphis GMC is tucked into a residential neighborhood. There is a small parking lot with handicap spots available. You can also park along the street on either side. * Lamb GMC is a country setting and has a gravel parking lot. There are 3 handicap parking spots. If the lot is full you can park along the side of Cove Road.
Where should I enter the church?
* Memphis GMC has 4 entry doors. Main doors are facing Church Street, there are stairs after entering you need to go up into the sanctuary. This entry puts you at the back of the sanctuary. There is a parking lot door that puts you into the classrooms area of the church. Enter and turn right at the hallway, continue down hallway and then you will see stairs going up into the sanctuary. This entry puts you at the front of the sanctuary. There is a handicap ramp accessible from the sidewalk near where Church and West Maple streets meet. This is the only handicap ramp entry. If you need assistance getting in through the door to church, there is a doorbell located outside of door. There are 2 white doors facing W Maple Street (by Blessing Box side). Door on the left opens to a vestibule with a glass door. Enter and look for stairs on the left that go up in the sanctuary. This path puts you at the front of the sanctuary. * Lamb GMC has 2 entry doors. Off the dirt parking lot walking towards church there is a cement sidewalk. The first door at ground level puts you near the back and there are stairs to go up into the sanctuary. There is a chair lift available inside the door along those stairs. There is no handicap ramp into the church. Facing Cove there are stairs leading up to the main doors. This entry puts you at the back of the sanctuary.
Where are the bathrooms located?
Memphis GMC has a handicap one person bathroom located by the classrooms, south end of hallway. There is also a ladies only bathroom located next to it down a short hallway. Lamb GMC has one handicap accessible bathroom downstairs, with chair lift available.
Can I receive communion at your church?
Memphis GMC and Lamb GMC have Holy Communion Sunday on the first Sunday of the month. At Memphis GMC we use gluten free bread and welch's grape juice. The communion table is open to you, to everyone, to all who believe. Old or young. You don't have to be members. You just have to know that Christ died for your sins. It's an opportunity to be forgiven and receive the grace that God wants to give you.
What if I don't feel comfortable making an offering?
Memphis GMC and Lamb GMC, if you are visiting with us, please know that your presence is your offering. Please do not feel obligated to support the ministries of the church. If you find this to be a home church for you, if that's what you're looking for, then at that time you can help support the ministries. But for the day you are visiting, your presence is your offering.
How long is the worship service?
On average our services run about an hour. We are a strong praying church and give opportunity for all to voluntarily share their moments where they've seen Christ in their life, joys, concerns and prayer requests during service. Sometimes there may be more prayers or more joys and that may be more time. We are a strong family of Christ and welcome anyone to have the chance to share.
Is there Sunday School and where do the children go?
Yes, when there are children we do have volunteers who have been background checked and have been trained in Ministry Safe. Two adults will take your child/children to the Sunday School room. You are welcome to come see this room before service. Or if you child/children want to stay with you we do have some busy bags available at the front and back of the church. Please know we welcome children with open arms, all ages, and all the sounds that come with them.
What kind of attire is worn at your churches?
At either church there is no dress code, we welcome you to wear what you are most comfortable in.
